The Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council

is seeking to engage users of the sanctuary in the decision-making process.

Since 2006, NOAA has been involved in a public process to review and revise a management plan for the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. In early 2010, a draft plan will be released for public comment. It will contain a proposal to consider the expansion of the sanctuary to include additional reefs and banks in the northwestern Gulf of Mexico.
