ARTIST BOAT HIRING EDUCATORS/INTERPRETERS
Artist Boat is hiring an arts or science educator with environmental background to deliver Eco-Art workshops, adventures, and residencies to the communities of the Houston/Galveston Region. The primary duty is to interpret habitats, ecosystems, science, and the environment through the discipline of visual art and/or science for people (all ages) engaging in Eco-Art experiences.There are also openings for arts and/or science educators to deliver Eco-Art residencies to two middle schools in Houston. These educators will deliver and develop Artist Boat hands-on arts curriculum to 6th – 8th grade students based on environmental and ocean literacy.
Basic requirements for either position are a BFA or BS and 1 to 2 years experience in arts, outdoors, and/or environmental education.
