Description: Come run, cheer, or volunteer at this annual event to support the Memorial Park Conservancy!

Memorial Park Conservancy, Inc. hosts its first annual “4 the Park” Fun Run & Picnic on Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. until noon.  This four-mile run through Memorial Park will conclude with a picnic featuring numerous local restaurants, beverage distributors, and a Kid’s Emporium of environmental activities.

Registration is $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under, both of which are available until 4/2/10.  Race Day registration will be $30.  Participants are encouraged to team up to raise even more funds online at www.memorialparkconservancy.org or www.lukeslocker.com.  Funds raised by the “4 the Park” Fun Run will benefit the ongoing programs and enhancement efforts of Memorial Park Conservancy in partnership with the Houston Parks & Recreation Department.

Registration, starting and finish line will be at the Tennis Center on Memorial Loop West. Parking is available in the park and at the parking garage at 4801 Woodway. Shuttle service will be provided.

Proceeds will benefit ongoing programs and enhancement efforts of Memorial Park Conservancy.

Volunteers needed from 5:30 am to 1:00 pm.
