Educational Programs

To foster dialogue, education, and collaboration on environmental issues in the Houston / Gulf Coast region.

Citizens’ enviornmental coalition mission statement

Our educational programs foster the curiosity of growing minds by connecting learners with programs, mentors, and friends, who want success for them, just as they want success for themselves. Our programs create communities around the Houston area and give people opportunities to learn more about the planet we call home.

Every day we work to make our mission statement a reality, not only for us but for the communities we serve. We are grateful to every sponsor, presenter, and partner who supports us on this journey. And we are especially grateful to every learner who is willing to listen, learn, and create change in this world.

Our current educational programs are:

  • Summer of Action
  • Houston Inspira
  • Pasadena Watershed After-School
  • Deer Park Prairie Field Trips
  • Galveston Bay Estuary
  • State of the Birds
  • Earth Day Houston
  • Policy Coalitions & Public Committees
  • Diluvial Houston Initiative
  • Environmental Educators Exchange
