CEC Welcomes Jasmine Lee as an Accounting intern

Jasmine is a junior at Rice University majoring in Psychology, minoring in Business. She is set to graduate in May 2022 and plans on joining the Masters of Accounting program at Rice University upon graduation. She is highly passionate about applying her skills as a future accountant to organizations like CEC to make a bigger difference in the world.

Jasmine is very excited to gain real-world experience that she is looking for and learn how non-profits like CEC operate. She believes that only through efforts like this can we truly start to make a difference. Some things Jasmine enjoys doing during her time off is singing jazz, playing pool, and watching nature documentaries.

CEC welcomes Nampie Kamara as a Communications Intern

Nampie Kamara is a Freshman at the University of Houston-Downtown, majoring as a pre-nursing student. She is set to graduate in the spring of 2024. Nampie is passionate about changing the world from the inside. She is certain with a little help from everyone the world can be a better place. She is motivated to create a safe environment for the generations that come after her.

Nampie enjoys playing with her little sister and enjoys shopping and sharing passionate conversations with her friends. Nampie’s first dream was to become an actress, and someday she believes she will achieve that. Nampie’s favorite quote is “Ah, what if it doesn’t come true, but what if it does?” Nampie looks forward to the future and can’t wait to see where life takes her.

CEC Welcomes Genesis Lara as a Digital Media Intern

Genesis Lara is a senior at the University of Houston-Downtown, where she is majoring in History and minoring in Art. Genesis likes to find new ways to positively impact her community, by helping out any way she can.

She is exited to join CEC as an intern to help learn more about the environmental movement in the Houston area. She hopes to gain knowledge from her internship that will help her in her future career.

On her time-off she enjoys spending time with her two pets, watching documentaries and period dramas. Other things she enjoys are visiting museums around Houston as well as taking photographs around the city.

Genesis is set to graduate in the Fall 2020 and is open to employment opportunities following graduation.
