Volunteer Service Day: Litter Clean Up @ Jesse Jones Park & Nature Center
Oct 3 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Join the Jesse Jones Park Volunteers to remove trash along the park’s waterways, restoring wildlife habitat and nature’s beauty. The event is followed by a free cookout for participants at noon provided by the Jesse Jones Park Volunteers.

Ages 16 and up. Families and groups are welcome.

Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring your own gloves, if possible. Long pants, a hat, and a refillable water bottle are recommended.

Sound Healing Meditation in the Cistern @ The Water Works

Find your center and practice meditation in the spacious and tranquil Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern. Offered in collaboration with Pralaya Yoga and Youniversoul this meditation series will feature the use of singing bowls and wind chimes to encourage mindfulness and connectivity. Guests should bring their own cushion or mat.

  • Saturdays from 9-9:45am and 10:30-10:45am
  • Wednesdays from 6-6:45pm

34 person max.

$15 per person

All guests are required to wear a face mask and use hand sanitizer before entering the Cistern. Markers will be placed throughout the space to indicate socially-distanced spots. Cleaning will take place between every Cistern tour and meditation session.
