Every summer Houston Audubon’s education team creates amazing camp experiences for children 6 – 10 years old. Summer 2019 is going to brimming with birds, creativity and lots of nature exploration. From elephants to eagles, leopards to butterflies the world is a cornucopia of wildlife species that are struggling for survival against all odds. Campers will travel the world to discover endangered species through fact finding activities, nature exploration and games, crafts and songs.

Join the CELF’s Houston Educator team for a 3-week-long Family Nature Challenge! You’ll receive a weekly challenge to tackle as a family each Monday, accompanied by a mini-lesson and CELF challenge guide. End each week with a live Zoom Show-and-Tell.

EcoCamp is for children ages 4 to 13 years old for 5 days. (Each five-day session starts on Monday, through August 3, 2020.

Different Themes each week
Morning: 8:30 am – 11:30 am
Afternoon: 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Full Day Session: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

A typical day at camp blends nature exploration with active outdoor experiences under the guidance of knowledgeable educators. Campers learn more about the natural world through: Fishing, Canoeing, Pond Exploration, Insect Collecting, Bird Watching, Hiking, Dip Netting, Arts and Crafts, Live Animal Presentations and Camp Games. The camp counselors divide the children into small groups by age where they will participate in exciting, age appropriate hands-on activities.
