The Harris County Flood Control District is hiring an Environmental Quality Project Manager to managing environmental projects related to stormwater quality enhancements and permit compliance, support tasks for design support, stormwater quality monitoring, and other environmental research areas. This candidate will manage compliance tasks associated with Federal, State, and local environmental laws, rules, and regulations, including TPDES Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit requirements and Stormwater General Permit for Construction Activities. This position supports communications with the public and with environmental organizations and coordinate with other District departmental staff, other local governments, State and Federal governments, and non-profit organizations to facilitate joint use projects within District facilities. This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in any one of the natural or earth sciences, environmental planning, or a related field with two years of experience in the management of environmental-related projects and experience using ESRI ArcGIS or similar digital mapping software. This candidate will also have familiarity with Federal, State, and Local environmental rules and regulations, with demonstrated proficiency in National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and experience with strong skills using digital photo management software.
