Houston Botanic Garden seeks Maintenance Gardener

Houston Botanic Garden is seeking a Maintenance Gardener who will be responsible for
supporting the horticulture team in general horticulture tasks, including irrigation and
equipment repairs. Under the overall guidance of the Vice President of Horticulture, the
Maintenance Gardener will report to the Horticulture Manager for general work coordination
and daily assignments. The ideal candidate is a confident, fix-it-yourself gardener interested
in rotating through problem-solving tasks in all of our gardens – Susan Garver Family
Discovery Garden, Global Collection Garden, and Culinary Garden – and natural ecosystems, including Stormwater Wetlands and a Coastal Prairie. This multi-faceted position will also involve assisting with preparation for volunteer horticulture workdays to support general garden maintenance tasks.
