Texas Community Watershed Partners (TCWP) is hiring a Program Coordinator for its Ecological Restoration Program; this position is part of the Green Infrastructure for Texas (GIFT) project team. The Program Coordinator leads the Wetland Restoration Team volunteer program which focuses on freshwater restoration projects in the Lower Galveston Bay watershed, forms partnerships and pursues additional restoration projects in a variety of habitats, meets grant requirements and deliverables, maintains project budgets, assists with grant applications, provides outreach opportunities to diverse clientele, operates TCWP wetland nurseries, and carries out wetland vegetation monitoring protocols. The qualified candidate will have experience with field work in the Houston region, ecological monitoring practices, working collaboratively with community project partners, recruiting and managing volunteers, grant management, and reporting. A BS in Ecology, Environmental Sciences, Ecological Engineering, Natural Resource Management or similar degree and two years of experience are required. Texas Community Watershed Partners seeks Green Infrastructure Student Intern

Texas Community Watershed Partners (a part of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas A&M University) is seeking applications for a Green Infrastructure Student Intern. This intern will work primarily in an office setting on projects related to Green Infrastructure outreach and Watershed Planning efforts.

Responsibilities include organizing and planning meetings and workshops, assisting with meeting setup, website and social media updates, stakeholder outreach, and writing both technical and non-technical content.

Within TCWP’s Green Infrastructure for Texas program, cross-training on related projects, such as freshwater wetland restoration and stormwater wetland construction projects will occur.

The Intern applicant must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and able to work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders. Applicants must be enrolled in a college or university with a degree plan in Biology, Natural Resource Science, Marine Science, Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a comparable field of study. Experience coordinating meetings and editing websites is preferred. Public speaking is required as well as writing and editing skills. A clean driving record is required.
