PH welcomes non-members to share the view from atop One Shell Plaza on Tuesday, October 22
Preservation Houston cordially invites guests who have demonstrated an interest in the organization to attend its 35th anniversary Annual Meeting. Enjoy a spectacular view of the city and learn about the proposed redevelopment of the Astrodome during the meeting at the new Houston Club on the 49th floor of downtown’s One Shell Plaza, 910 Louisiana, on Tuesday evening, October 22. The event begins with a complimentary reception at 6 p.m., followed by the business meeting at 6:30 and the program at 7.
“We’re encouraging potential members to attend our Annual Meeting,” Executive Director Stephanie Ann Jones said. “We hope you’ll enjoy the evening, learn about Preservation Houston, meet our interesting members and join!”
During the meeting, Kevin H. Hoffman, deputy executive director of the Harris County Sports & Convention Corp., will share the plans for “The New Dome Experience,” the proposed repurposing of the Astrodome that will be on the November 5 ballot.
Admission to the Annual Meeting is complimentary. Preservation Houston memberships will be available for purchase at the meeting.
Please note, The Houston Club requires that gentlemen wear jackets.
Complimentary parking will be available in the garage under One Shell Plaza after 5:30 p.m. Enter the garage from Walker Avenue and take the ramp down past the loading dock where a gate attendant will provide access to the parking area. Take the garage elevators to the lobby entrance. A lobby attendant will assist you in locating the elevators to the 47th floor, where you will transfer to the 49th floor elevator to The Houston Club.
