Description: It’s a Party for the Planet and you’re invited to go green on April 21 and 22 during The Houston Zoo’s Earth Day celebration! Join us from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day for entertainment with a “green theme.” Learn what you can do to conserve our natural resources and preserve the world’s wild places for future generations.
The Houston Zoo’s Earth Day celebration is fun for the whole family. Explore the Houston Zoo on a self-guided Earth Day Scavenger Hunt to learn more about some of the endangered species that call the Zoo home and enjoy our “green themed” activities. After completing the Scavenger Hunt make sure to pick up your prize (while supplies last).
While you’re here you can also test your green knowledge as you make environmentally-smart choices and find your way to the end of the Mother Earth Maze. Put your skill and imagination to work at the Re-Usable Mural, and see how fast you are when you Race to Recycle! Plus enjoy fun and informative Meet the Keeper Talks featuring information about animal conservation and intriguing animal enrichment activities.
